PSX Controller for GT/GT2

For those of you into GT/GT2, I have found a racing wheel that IMHO, is above average for the PSX.
It is also named GT2, and is made by Pelican Accessories.

The GT2 has standard PSX digital mode, NEGON mode, and Analog mode. When used in analog mode, the wheel mounted paddles provide variable control of gas and brake input. The paddle range of throw is short, so while you can apply half throttle, it not easy to hold it there. The paddles also provide what is known as dual axis control on PC wheels, the ability to apply gas and brake simultaneously. There are no foot controls.

It also has vibration when used in the analog mode, which works as well as the vibration in Sony's own analog controller. The D-Pad, and all the other standard control buttons are there as well. There are multi-colored LEDs that signal wheel mode and other settings. It has moderate tension loading that returns it to center, and the wheel travel is roughly 200 degrees.

There is a adjustment for steering sensitivity, this feature is makes the wheel usable with GT/GT2. When set to the lowest sensitivity, it dampens the steering input enough to allow the wheel to work with the GT/GT2. On the downside, the wheel doesn't retain this setting once powered off. However, resetting is quick and easy.

It also has something called TRC (Traction Control System), which as far as I could tell did nothing. The manual is sparse, and it took a few minutes to determine that to work correctly, the controller should be set to analog mode, but the game should be left in digital mode, very strange.

I bought it at Walmart for $23. The company also makes another wheel with foot pedals and a gear shifter, but the store didn't stock that model. For a low cost GT/GT2 wheel that works, and doesn't look too bad, check it out.
