No, it doesn't. But it is a known bug, so it will probably be fixed in the
next version.
GPLap _does_ fix the hp degradation that f1gp does for the player's car.
I found out the Amiga version did this too (degradation upto 23 hp), and
have fixed it. This patch will be included in f1gp-ed 3.0 by Oliver Roberts.
