        I have a Gateway 2000 486DX2-50 with 8mb RAM and 2mb VRAM. I would
like to know if this is a fast enough computer with enough memory to run
the new NASCAR in SVGA mode at a high FPS rate.  I downloaded the NASCAR
demo and ran it with all details on and at 30fps and it worked perfectly.

If you have a VESA driver, CD-ROM, and SVGA monitor then yes, you'll be able
to run it.

Don't look for 30fps, though, unless you turn off major detail.  Remember how
chunky IndyCar got on the old 486SX-20 with full detail?  Think deja-vu.  :-(

According to Papyrus, the *minimum* configuration will be 2x speed CD-ROM,
486dx2-66, VLB video card.

I'm about to invest in a Gateway 2000 P90 Pro type thing.  Can you use
the standard video card that came with the gateway for SVGA mode, or did
you buy an additional card, and does the Sound card come with an analogue
joystick port ?
Sorry if it's a bit off subject, but don't want to pay 3000 for a
computer that I can't play ICR, F1GP(1 or 2) or TFX on.
