Wow you are a persistent fellow ;)

From what I see there is no demo yet out of this title by GTI Interactive (I
think they are the producers).  The best thing is to check out their
websites.  For those who don't know, it's a title that mixes Interstate 76
with MS Midtown Madness, Im looking forward to this for incredible fun,
especially since they did the city of Miami AND Los Angeles.

And who cares if it's arcade or no, seems one heck of a fun :)

Speaking of "fun".  I think Interstate '76 does a good job on the physics and is
fun to boot!  When doing drag races I setup my Pinto with a V12, nitro and ol'
fatties on the back.  It was way *too* much HP for that small car <VBG>

The initial demos for the Playstation are receinving mixed reviews -
some people are finding it hellishly hard, while others just love it.

The demo is currently available in the UK on the Official Playstation
Magazine.

Do they mean hard because of the complexity of the game engine ? It's
something that really made me interested in the title. From back when they
had no producer, their preview really focusing on the realism of the car
physics, not the eye-candy.

If this is true... it's even MORE good news, well for us ;)))))

Thanks for the info

I've played the demo, and the car handles exactly as you would expect
for a 70's gas guzzler - you can swing the tail out, suspension
compresses to bounce the car around etc. The hard bit is that the demo
is difficult. Some people end the demo in 2 seconds, by hitting a tree
and losing sight of your objective (you're following a car), while
others can drive for a couple of minutes.

The demo *does* look impressive, but unless you can handle the car
you'll have problems. Like everything, it'll take practise, but is
looking very promising.

Wow hey guys read this !!!  Thanks Alan for the answer.  Wow***MS
Midtown Madness, this is what I want ;-)  Especially with old cars from the
70's.

It's actually nice that some company focus on at the same time the realism
of a game engine and at the same time a good set of gameplay.  The idea of
Driver is great, it's maybe not p.c.  but it's a great adrenaline rush I
guess.  Who didn't have fun here with Interstate'76 ? :)

I-76 was pretty fun in multiplayer too until cheats and hackers with
outrageously hacked vehicles started showing up.

It used to be fun as hell to be chasing someone on some of those cliffside
roads with my gold "Jefferson" pimp-wagon and use my nitrous boost to
ram them from behind and make them go off the side of the cliff to their
death.... ahh what fun :-)

Hope I-82 will be just as fun, but more importantly I hope they can somehow
prevent the cheats and hacks from ruining the whole online play.

Seeyas on the track.

We might need to start a group for "clean" I-82 games :-)
