I read somewhere that you can unlock a mustang in CMR2.  anyone know
how?

I know, it's arcade, but it's heaps of fun.  and it feels a bit like
driving a car, unlike a certain other petrol company-badged rally-sim
with a number attached to it.

I have CMR2 for the PSX and have opened all the cars, and ASFIK there is no
Mustang.  There is a Cosworth Road Car tho.  This may be what you mean.

It would be odd having a Mustang in a Rallye game.
Of course that may be why it would be a hidden vehicle, but can any Rallye
fans remember if or when a Mustang competed in World Rallye's???

http://people.freenet.de/pony/history.htm gives you some proofs ;)

Mustangs and Falcons were used more or less succesfully in rallying in
60/70's.

Ilari

  Thanks Ilari...
See that's a problem with being here in the Good Ol USA....Didn't even
know World Rallying existed until about 3 years ago...Heck we thought Subaru
invented the series....:)
All I've ever seen are the smaller cars...To me a Mustang is a heavy V8
that would seem to be rather unsuitable for Rallying..But...now I know.

hehe.  do rally-sims/games sell at all in the US?  I heard some
reports from the CMR2-release saying that nobody bought it, as they
didn't have a clue what it was.

I bought CMR2 for the PSX knowing FULL WELL what rally is.  Cant wait for
CMR3.  Wait will kill me tho.

As for  Mustangs and Falcons being used in rallies, mayhap they were.  BUT
only for SCCA-type events.  Not WRC-type events.  I MAY BE WRONG.
