7? I've seen some negative comments about DirectX 7, in particular, on the
the Thrustmaster site.
I'm interested in the game, but I don't want to trash my ability to run
(steer?) GPL, F1RS and SCGT.
What's the scoop?

I have a generic game pad, a T2 wheel, and a stock, custom-built PIII
Gateway system, fully loaded.

Just one question....what does "stock, custom built" mean?

Once I put DX7 on my system (K6/2-450, SBLive, V3-2000AGP), the only
controller that would be recognized was the one that was connected at the
time DX7 was loaded (be it my T2 wheel or Sidewinder gamepad). I tried the
uninstallers that are out there, no luck. There was only one solution,
format and reload.
What's strange is a friend of mine has the exact same setup as I have, but
no problem with DX7. I say stay away if you can.
It was supposed to say just "custom built". Sorry for the confusion.
