It is a current Road Runner and Earthlink issue. Actually the blame has been
passed 'up' to their backbone provider, Level 3. Mine came back online just
a few minutes ago through NC-RR, but for yesterday I had to use free-open
nameservers to access MS sites. I don't live there (MS), by any means, but I
do subscribe to several map server providers for my business that are MS
provided terraserver sites and they too have been down. I guess all the
flood maps and so on are housed at MS and are farmed out to the different
providers as a 'back end' deal, letting the dealers sell the service and
then simply point to a server within the MS system somewhere. I didn't know
that until this popped up early yesterday morning (2 August 2003).

You should be back up by the time you read this, if not, it should be soon.
We're normally some of the last people in the RR family to get fixed here in
NC and we're fixed as of now.

Yea I am, thanks.

What bummed me was I couldn't change search engines in IE 6 with it down.
Customize would take forever an all I'd get was a blank box.
Lesson learned is I'm getting used to a different one. :)
