New GPL Series In The Making

New GPL Series In The Making

by Chris Mose » Tue, 30 Jan 2001 14:12:19

Here is a link to a rough draft for a new series format.
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

The series will be for the best of the best, to fight it out for the title
of GPL World Champion.

I have raced actively in several leagues since the inception of GPL on-line
racing. Working from my experiences; I think the league format I have come
up with is a great criteria for a fantastic series for the best of GPL to
fight it out to be called best in the world.

Firstly I am looking for administrators & servers. I would like (I think I
can make the cut) to participate myself in the racing. But it would be best
for a second party to run the daily operations of the series. I would like
the series format that I have presented to be a "blueprint" for a World
Championship Series. If no one takes up the challenge I will administer the
series myself.

Secondly for feedback. Ideas, signs of interest, objections, you name it.

Interested in the challenge driving or being a part of the series in an
administrative manner, please contact me. :-)

Looking for one last, great GPL challenge.

Cheers,
Chris Moses

Sounds like a great idea and I wish you well.  If it comes to pass, it'd be
great were the replays to be made available for those of us whose GPLRank is
in the triple digits (or higher :-)  ?

Hmmm, the fastest 15 people in the world...raise your hand if you
qualify...cricket cricket....pin drops...On a similar note, does anyone know
of an online league that is open to anyone and has people racing in it that
aren't quite aliens?  I am looking at joining a league, but I can't find
anything really good (best I saw was UKGPL...too bad they don't let people
in from across the pond...those ***y blokes).  Any help?

Peter Burke from Speedcenter is starting one.  Also, are you running in COBRHA
this season?  We still need another two drivers for team Motor City Racing...

If you are into F3s you could look up GPLF3R at
