Does the CH products utility Quickjoy actually let you change the controller
ID? I have three USB controllers connected (LWFF + MS FF2 + MS Freestyle
Pro), but I make it a habit to play all my games on ID #1. In other words: I
first set the controller I use to play a certain game on ID #1 in the
Windows (98) game controllers panel, and then start the game. That way, I
avoid the problem of games screwing up the 'in game' control configuration
when the controller of choice is not on the same ID as before. Besides, some
games demand that the controller is set to #1. Although this method works,
but I'm basically looking for an easier method (less laborious), and I
wonder if Quickjoy comes in handy. I've read that Quickjoy let's you select
a controller, but what does that actually mean..?

Thanks,

Ice D

It moves it to ID#1 for you when you select that device. It's meant to be
used with the CH Joyswitch, which I used to have a few years ago. I don't
know how it works with USB devices though. I bought a USB extension cord and
just unplug/plug in the device I want to use at the time. Much quicker than
going to the joystick applet and changing the device ID# around.

If Quickjoy puts the selected controller on ID #1, it's just what I'm
looking for. I'll give it a try, thanks.
