I have noticed in vehicle.mas that after every secion for a car, there is a
line that says to look at default.vhs for more configurable info.  Now, that
file is no where to be found, except maybe in the vehicle.mas.  IF anyone
could write a program that would extract the files, if any, out of the .mas
files, that would be a BIG tool.

I noticed that too, and guess that may be a file that isn't in the demo; only
the full game.  As to the vehicle.mas file, I've tried tweaking some simple
variables and it's a no-go.  The game wouldn't load afterwards.  I suspect
there's a time-stamp or ID check in the SCGT.exe file, as simply re-saving the
vehicle.mas file without making any changes will cause the same problem.  Maybe
I'll fake it out with my system clock and see if that does it.  Some juicy
stuff in there!

Check the editor your useing. Word or notepad wont do it because they dont
save the file in the proper fromat, probably an eof giving it trouble. I can
edit it and run useing a hex editor, have taken a few hundred kilos off the
cars to make the AI faster.

Also ive notice that after the drivers name eg  / David Brabham / 0.5 / 0.6
/ 0.8 /
Changing these changes the drivers skills I suspect, turning them all up to
9 and the driver goes like the race is over. If anybody has any more info
please let me know the drivers in the demo desperately need to be harder.

Regards
Ilmore.

Great!  I'd looked at it with a hex editor, but didn't realize exactly why the
text editor was fouling it up when saving.  I'll definitely have to get in
there and stir it up now!

Cheers,
