NASS #1 Again (Long)

Tim Kellebrew of Sim***world has again published his annual ranking
of offline and online racing leagues at
http://sim***world.simplenet.com/rwt.htm. Again this year, NASS98 is
ranked #1 in the offline leagues, and our online leagues are ranked
#6, making NASS the only league to make the top ten on both lists
(congrats to HAL on your #1 ranking for online leagues).

This is probably the only point of the year when you'll find us
"blowing our own horn". But most of you have no idea what kind of time
committment it requires to run these leagues, not only on my part, but
on the entire support staff. In addition to the numerous messages we
get from drivers throughout the season, this is our public recognition
that makes it all worth while.

In addition to myself, there are many others who go above and beyond
the call of duty to make things a success here. They are:

Glenn Brown: Glenn is our NASS98 N1 director. Even though the league
has fewer drivers, it still requires an enourmous amount of time on
Glenn's part.

Ron Riekens II: Ron assists Glenn on the N1 side in several areas. (If
I've missed anyone else on the N1 side I apologize)

Scott Troxler: In addition to being a driver in BGNB offline, Scott is
the assistant director for our 3 online divisions. Scott tracks all
the points for online, which is a very time consuming effort. He is
also involved in all administrative decisions for online.

Jim Potteiger and Todd Miller: These guys are our Thunder98 online
directors. While being involved in the decision making processes for
the league, they also handle things on race nights, and take care of
any complaints and problems.

Scott Mullin: Scott tracks the fantasy earning for both N1 and N2, as
well as authoring software to assist in scoring and cheat detection
for offline.

Mike Becnel: Mike has had several positions with NASS98 over the
years. Mike has directed the series for a winter season, as well as
the N1 league for a partial season. Currently Mike prepares the
Supertruck division cars and races each week for the offline league.

Rob Taylor: Rob tracks the rookie points for offline, as well as being
a driver in both on and offline.

Rob Wesner: Rob tracks the team points for offline. Rob gets behind in
his duties from time to time, but being a student his time is at a
premium.

D. Alan Bailey: Dan writes articles for the Thunder online series to
be posted on the web.

Cris Mans: Cris maintains the driver profile and trophy areas for
online, as well as providing some file storage to the leagues.

Brett Molzahn: Brett tracks the driver info and publishes this to all
online driver.

Mike Kelly: Mike prepares and updates our BGN offline car set.

Randy Mitchell: Randy prepares and updates our WC offline car set.

Greg Stevens: Greg is the author of the beautiful NASS98 logos
displayed at our website.

Gabriel Albano: Gabriel has authored scoring software for our online
leagues that tracks points, teams, and mfg's all in one sweep.

As you can see, this is an extensive list of help. Every one of these
guys is a volunteer, and has never received compensation for their
efforts. They do it just as I, simply for the love of the sport, and
they deserve our thanks and gratitude. THEY make NASS look good, not
me. Without them, NASS98 would not be the success it is today. One
person could not do it all. If I've missed anyone who has contributed
to the NASS98 leagues, I apologize.

WOW.  You mean they actually rate these things.

Let them take a look at IVL and they'll have to revise their ranking
just a little.
