HELP WANTED

by Scott B. Huste » Sat, 11 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Hello,

As many of you are aware, Powersims.com is a new racing sim site.
Powersims.com is more than just a sim racing site.  Powersims.com will be
part of the IMN (Internet Motorsports Network) when launched in early 2000.

We have finally progressed far enough into Powersims where we feel we need
to start putting our team together.  We have received numerous emails from
individuals offering their assistance with Powersims.com and we sincerely
appreciate it!  What we ask is that if you read this post and like what it
contains, please email us once again to define what you would like to do.

We are looking for Chief Correspondents to organize each sim that will be
part of Powersims.com.  What I mean is,  we need an Individual(s) to provide
us with content for each individual sim (IE - GPL, N3, NL, DTR, Leadfoot,
GP500, GP3, etc).  This individual does NOT have to know alot about internet
programming, HTML, etc.  We will handle the technical aspect of operating
Powersims.  What we need are people who are passionate about a sim and would
like to help us build the content and community for that sim at
Powersims.com.  This person would come up with ideas, stories, editorials,
interviews, reviews, updates, add-ons, etc and keep the content on
Powersims.com for that sim fresh and up to date.  They would also maintain
the speed charts for that sim, participate in the discussion forum
community, etc.  Again, they would not be responsible for updating the site,
only writing and maintaining the content and submitting it to us for timely
publishing.

We will provide you with a Powersims.com email and you will be participating
in a new, fast-paced community which will only prosper with good people
behind it.

Since you will not be responsible for the actual HTML or internet
programming, the time put into this would not be overly burdensome and we
feel you will get alot of enjoyment and benefit being a part of our team.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal to join our team, please

Thank you and we look forward to working with the sim racing community.

internet

Itellyawhut, if this actually works out like it's SOUNDING.... well....
I think you'll have to be my new start page.  I'm interested in a LOT of
racing sims (N3, DTR, Leadfoot <G>, even MTM) and I'm ALWAYS looking for
addons for these.  To be able to find not just INFO, but patches, carsets,
experts, etc. in ONE place for ALL of them...
makes me shiver...

Gunner,

Well we will do our best.  <G>  This is a very time consuming process and we
have signed two individuals to help us so far.  It is going to take alot
more than that to cover all the sims.  We do have alot of 'irons in the
fire' as we continue to work on our format, partners, marketing, content,
staff, etc.

The one thing to remember is that content comes from a myriad of sources,
and many of these sources do not want to share the information.  Some of
them actually don't even want you to post a link to them!  But we do our
best. ;)

Thanks again and don't forget to visit us often.
