I hate to burst your bubble but, my company (MMC) makes the graphic processor
board for the texture mapping graphics you see on the screen and they are not
standard off the shelf units. This technology comes out of our full-scene
aircraft simulators. You can buy a Daytona USA side by side (2 player) for about
$17,000.00. The Deluxe version (single driver - improved graphics, opponents, and
***pit looking setup) goes for about $25,000. I sure wish I had one in my
ba***t. BTW - get the car sideways in the corner and punch it for the fastest
way around the advanced and expert tracks.

OK, has anyone out there played DAYTONA USA? I have and it is awesome. It is
an arcade game by Sega Japan and it is sooooo relistic if you were to do an
exact replica for a home computer it would need more that just SVGA and
minimum C.P.U would be a P100! it is sooooo cool - I was wondering Adrian,
when i read you msg in Re:Driving Simulators - REAL? you said if you could
have those specs then you could make on hell of a racing sim. If you have
played Daytona USA could you get some ideas from it of even Virtua Racing.
If someone converted that game to the P.C or Mac which went fast and had
similar detaill then you would be an instant billionair ;)

Think about it. Mike
