  First, turn off the horizon and pull the objects to close.  This will double
your frame rate.  Then Click over on acade driving mode.  NOW, if you decide
to use a smaller screen, you will get a game with more action and a better
sense of speed then most out there.  I was originally pissed that I bought the
game using simulation, and having the graphix on high, but now I'm glad that I
got it.  Much more fun than NFS, if you can stand to use less graphics.

I bought NFS II as well, and while it's not as good as the first one, it
should be a riot for lan play. In either case, I fail to see why it is
necessary to castrate a game to this extent to make it playable on the
average system. Mt $0.02 worth...

That's just it, you shouldn't have to play with graphis functions turned
off and in a smaller window.  For the power it takes to run this game
the graphics should be awesome, but they just look ordinary to me.
