This site seems to require an account setup just to get the torrent links.
Unless I'm missing something.  And the tracking of "leechers" is also odd.

Not a very attractive site.

Torrent file sharing works by having as many parts of the file available
as possible.  So for the file sharing to work efficiently,  it helps to
have users keep the torrent going even after they have gotten the whole
file.  That way others can get parts of the file from you and this keeps
the file active and available.
Leechers in Torrents are those users who use the torrent to download a
file and then immeadiately, (or shortly thereafter) disconnect so that no-
one else gets to share from their file.   Courtesy in torrents is that if
you dload a .5gig file,  you should keep the program running til AT LEAST
you have also uploaded .5gig, if not more.  So leeachers are those who are
not sharing and thus are slowing down the whole torrent process.
  Nothing sinister.

YMMV, I signed up once, bookmarked the RSS feed in Firefox that that was
that. How much simpler do you want life to be? ;)

Larry (The Other Larry) says...

Maybe you're misconstrued leechers on torrents. It simply describes the
number of people who are currently downloading the torrent. It's
important as it gives you an idea of how quickly you may get the file
down. The more seeders to leechers, usually the quicker you'll get the
complete file.

right now there is only the first effort,  the H6V8 semi-mod which is
really based on the default Howston that shipped with rF.  The same team is
working on a full mod with new shapes etc.  But the current version is
Howston cars with V8 supercar paints and some physics adjustments.

should be available at where-ever mods are sold...:)

I want to be able to do things without having 9,999 accounts scattered
across the internet.

I never understood the need for online accounts other than for 'Data
Collection'.

Slight correction. The fella's at AusORC made the H6V8's mod. Team ORSM
are making the full V8 mod for rFactor (as we did for F1C). AusORC and
ORSM are completely different teams :).
