How many racing Sims are there?
and how many of the developers frequent this newsgroup?
Which company reads our posts and tries to fix the problems that we
find?
Everyone complains that this sim or that sim doesnt work right, and
thats your right. The only way its going to get fixed is if the
company knows whats not working or not working correctly.
I just read in a previous post that Charlie Heath will not be reading
this newsgroup for a couple weeks, due to the fact people keep editing
tracks and are even posting them on here.
Who is gonna help you when your sim starts malfunctioning?
There are guys in here who know the ins and outs of how most of these
sims work, but what if no one can help you?
I dont care if you edit tracks, just don't post them in here. You
bought the sim, what you do with it is your business. Your not going
to get hired to develop tracks, your not going to make a million
dollars. I'd like to have Daytona and Indy too, but there not
included in the sim. I can the point you have in trying to make them,
but to post them in here and saying, "Hey Papyrus, I altered your code
and look what I made. P.S. Here is my email address if you want to
pass this on to your lawyers.", is just plain idiotic.
Sure N2 was buggy, but Jim Sokoloff and Charlie Heath have been here
to read whats wrong, and try to fix it for us. Thats more than I can
say for any other developer. Keep posting illegal stuff to this
newsgroup and see if they stay around and help you when you need it in
the future.
Let Sierra/Papyrus worry about what damn tracks we get to race, and
then race them.
Just Race Damn It!!!!!!!
