TOCA2-Do I really need to pit stop?

I'm playing in Championship mode and all cars seem to pit stop and so I
do too.

My question is that, is tyre wear modelled in the game? If not, then why
pit stop?

Also, fuel level doesn't seem to be factored into the game. Is this
true?

Thanks.

I don't have the game, so I can't say for sure, but...

In the BTCC, a single pitstop is mandatory.  This is a tire stop only, however.
 Refueling is not an issue.

As far as car physics goes as the tires wear and the car becomes lighter from
the reduced fuel load, I'm not sure if they included that.

I think tyre wear is modelled but I'm not sure whether the wear is dependant
on how you drive.

Yes you do or you get disqualified!

Well if you dont pit stop during a full race (not the short sprint)
you'll just get disqualified.

BTW. There is no pit stop needed in 'single race' mode, only in
championship mode.
