took me out for a while. Here's a message I posted a while back
regarding the ECC kit which I own. Unfortunately I haven't ever tried
the TSW, much as I'd love it compare the two.
I own the CDS, which is absolutely amazing to drive with. Very smooth,
all the way though its travel, without the slightest notching at the
centre position of the wheel. It's all made out of steel, and weighs
16lbs and 12lbs for the wheel and pedals respectively. The wheel is a
3 spoked affair, covered in suede leather. 4 thumb shifters sit above
the 2 horizontal spokes in 2 groups of 2 buttons. I use these for
shifting and reversing. Sited next to where your thumbs naturally rest
they enable extremely fast shifting. I don't know how long it takes me
to get from 6th to 1st but it's as fast as I can punch these buttons
ie VERY quickly!! The pedals are springed with different strength
springs, so the brake is much stiffer than the gas pedal. They sit in
a large metal wedge, much like a footrest. The thing's built to last,
looks the business in front of the PC and is immobile during racing.
Highly recommended.
