Tire Screech in Turns

Tire Screech in Turns

Hi All,

I'm running Nascar 2 and am having difficulty running Michigan and
C***te.  Whenever I enter the turns (any turn), I get a tremendous
amount of tire screech, regardless of speed.  I've tried numerous car
setups (including some from the Web) and have no luck.  I first thought
my steering wheel wasn't calibrated correctly, so I recalibrated and
tried it again.  No change.  Here's the funny part; I can run
Martinsville, Louden and Bristol with NO tire screech whatsoever.  I get
a little at Indy and Daytona, and none at Talladega.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this is appreciated!

says...

Try slowing down in the turns...

I know it sounds funny, but it sounds like you are running into the
corners too hot.

Try taking C***te at 165-175 and Mich at 168 for T1&2 and 165 for T3&4

Just my opinion on your troubles...

Dale:

I've found that N2 sqeals tires more than N1.  If your tires aren't
wearing out too quickly at the speeds causing the squeal, then another
way to minimize it is to simply turn down the tire skid volume.
Unimaginative, perhaps, but effective!  :-)

God Bless,

Andre

Go into the "Options" menu and turn the tyre screech volume way down.

Another way to make it more bearable is to download the patch that changes
the tire squeal WAV file.  It may still squeal, but it appears to be the N1
squeal instead of that annoying squeal that shipped with N2.
