Switcheable Gameport Y-Splitter available?

Hi there,

Have you ever heard of a y-splitter for gameport devices that is
switcheable?  i.e. with an A or B switch on it so you could plug two
*** devices (i.e. hotas and steering wheel) into this "box" and one
cable to the computer and selectively switch one on and the other off
or vice-versa?  I've seen the straight y-splitters that are available,
but non that are switcheable.

Thanks in advance,

Tones

4 input joystick switch for $3.99.  I got it and it works great.  At
least until I got a USB wheel and joystick :)

| Hi Tones,
|   There used to be a device specifically designed/marketed for what
| you're looking for... a switchbox called "JoySwitch".  I have no idea
| if these are still made or not, but I thought I'd mention it in case
| you wanted to try a search online for the name.

If you're talking about a gameport switcher, I bought mine years ago at a
local computer show for $10 or so.  It works great, but keep in mind that
you still have to change controllers within the Windows Control Panel, as
well.

If you have a local computer show, check them out.  I'd bet that one of
the vendors carries this type of stuff.

Or you can just use CH's QuickJoy, instead of changing it in the
control panel.

Yep!! :-) I have been doing it for yearz now! Sure makez it eazy!.
Hell' you can have a 100-1000 game controllers and just click &
you changed it! Mostly you do have to make sure the new one is
config'ed ok and that too is just one click away in Quickjoy..

Thanks for the advice.  I just received my 4-input joyswitch box for $4
(plus fedex shipping.. cost more than the box..lol).  It looks great and
does exactly what I was looking for.  I called CH products and their
switchbox is no longer produced... Anyway, I'm content with what I have..

Thanks again!!
