RAS.

Spent the afternoon having a wander round my local s/w store asking the
vendor
"GP3...any idea when...? - June 30th sir...." when came across SCGT for the
princely sum of 12.99.

"Oooh..." sez I, "Should I - shouldn't I.."

*

Got home, stuck the wife and kids in the next room and loaded it up.

Wow.

Three hours later and I'm typing this.

Excellent game with outstanding graphics on my V3, good handling and a tough
challenge - feels like I'm driving a tank at the moment though in start-up
career mode - gots to win some credits sharpish and gets me a new
jallopy....

Tough opponents.....all the AI's seem to be Schumacher clones.....talk about
nudge them and budge them tactics.

Question is.....anyone recommend any add on's such as cars, dashes ect....?

Same goes for tracks......any out there.?

Er...like this better than GPL.

Ian.

Now runnin' bare arsed for the hills..!!!!

Here are some sites to get you started. There are tons of car and dash
updates for this incredable game. I recently dug it out so I could throw my
geforce and wheel at it and I am loving every second.

I would recomend getting the damage patch for starters - as the original
game simulates damage but does not show it - this patch will turn it on.

I'm starting to feel like one of the few people who doesn't really like Sports
Car GT that much...  I just never could really get into it for some reason.  I
guess I'm just a little different from the rest of the group.  For example, I
still play ICR2 as much as GPL.  :)

No your not. I just permanently deleted SCGT from my hard drive.

I got it for 7.99 a few months ago. I must say, I'd sent the
wife for it as I had seen it at 20. When she got home and said
it was only 7.99, I thought oh no she's picked the wrong one.
Imagine my delight when I found out it was so cheap.

Don't be downhearted though, if I had paid 20 for it, I would
still have been very happy. So you got a bargian. I feel it's
one of the most playable, if not realistic racing games on any
system.

Just try it with a force-feedback wheel. It's even better!

Hal9001

I must agree-it is a very entertaining game.  It has its weak points, IMO (most
notably, overly-forgiving physics and the terrible generic dash); but,
door-to-door with a rather determined opponent at Road Atlanta after 20 minutes
of racing can make for an awfully immersive experience.

My advice (not that you asked):  avoid purchasing too many car upgrades in the
game, 'cause you can make yourself nearly invincible.

As for upgrades, I'd get the Rrevved Sound Pack just as soon as you can (it was
once available at  www.gtinsider.com; but, it does not seem to be currently
available due to continued site construction).  If you can't find it elsewhere,
drop me a line (remove x's from address), and I'll send it to you (1.4 MB
zipped).  Rrevved, sorry if I butchered the spelling of your name; but, your
sounds are the bomb.
