Did i read on this site that there is a patch to convert the dos
verstion of icr2 to windows if so where do i get it iv looked on papyrus
web site?

It's at the Sierra support site, look for CART Racing (or something
like that).

If you have any problems running it....like getting thrown back to the
desktop, then uncheck the "use direct sound" option. Thats what I had to do,
but the patch does work...lots of ppl are running this game in windows after
patching from the dos version.
