I would like to play remote with a friend of mine. Can we connect direct
through modem? internet? Is there a patch for this?

SCGT only allows for IPX (LAN) and TCI/IP (Internet).  The host needs to go
to START|RUN|"winipcfg" and get his/her IP.  Then give it to the other
person.  The host needs to go in and select Multiplayer, TCI/IP, then not
input anything into the IP box (I'm pretty sure) and hit Join or Next or
whatever it is.  Next the other player needs to select Multiplayer, TCI/IP
and then put in the host's IP that they have and click join.
