Hello All,

Yes, its true that in ver. 0.62 you can have a dead car on the track.
However, this car is "visible" in the nearby array, so your anti-collision
code can detect it well in advance allowing you to slow down and steer
around it, if necessary.

However, if there is a big pileup early in a race, taking out half of the
cars or more, I plan to invalidate that race, and run another.
I will define "early" as 1/4 of the sceduled laps, or less.

So, a race will not count unless at least half of the cars finish at
least 1/4 of the laps.

I plan to have some kind of an improvement within two weeks from today.

Hi racers and race fans,

It appears that dead cars on the track really are a serious problem at
present, and since Nate Thurston pointed out how easy it would be to
just ignore dead cars as far as collisions are concerned, I will do that.

Hence, for the upcoming races, until further notice, CARZ.CPP will be
modified so that dead cars will not cause collisions, nor will they
appear in the "nearby" array.

I will send you the mods tomorrow.
