Anyone using flat panel LCD ? How does it handle the fast graphics
involved in ***? I have to replace an old monitor and have to choose
between a 17" CRT or 17" LCD. Any and all opinions appreciated!

I have a samsung 800TFT... I love it and wouldn't go back!!!!

GPL Looks amazing. The only small issue is with some games the display is
so go that it shows up flaws in the graphics!!!

I also now have much more desk space!!!

Where as I on the other hand have had nothing but ***experiences with flat
screen monitors as they seem incaperble of keeping up their "percieved
refresh rate" or "pixel latency"

I still prefer CRT

You will get differing opinions

Although MIght I suggest that for the /$$$ of a 17" LCD you could have a
nice Sony 21" CRT

It depends on which flat panel you buy.  Some are faster than others.  Even
though flat panels have a slower refresh rate than CRT the pixels stay "on"
longer so its not as much of a problem.  The specs to look for is the rise
and fall time of how fast the screen pixels get turned on and off.  the best
price/performance I found was the Plannar.  I researched flat pannels for a
friend that does some casual *** but has little desk space.  They are not
as good as CRT's for *** but the new fast rise CRT are acceptable.
