GP2: T-Anubis Seeks LFRS Driver

Bern, Switzerland

For Immediate Release:

To all past or prospective LFRS pilots,

Team BDD Sony Anubis-Lamborghini is presently in the market for a new number 2
driver.  The number 2 position at Anubis has been held in the past by Kelby
Cody {LF3000 series] who performed quite admirably until finding his preferred
niche in NASCAR competition.  After having to bow out of the inaugural season
of LFRS due to time constraints, Team Anubis is poised to re-enter the LFRS
scene at the highest level of competition.  As Anubis only runs in the highest
category of competition, there is only one seat available.  [The seat comes
with an eight race guarantee.]

The qualified driver is not necessarily a hot lap wizard.  One lap does not a
race make.  Anubis is seeking a *consistent* driver who demonstrates an
ability to qualify well, keep the car on the track, and, most importantly,
maintains a sense of composure when passing and at the start. Independant
sponsorship is [such as a merger of team names] is not consistent with the
goals of the team.

To apply, please respond to this adverti***t.  Include any information you
feel pertinent i.e. lap times, GP2 championship race histories, LF3000/LFRS
histories, hotlap replays, race replays, testimonials, etc.  Based upon the
information submitted you *will* be given a test consisting of 12 laps to be
run on a specified setup at Ace level with all driving aids except Steering
Help OFF.  All laps should be saved in hotlap files (with performance data)
and mailed to the Team in accordance with the instructions attached in the
test package.  Based upon the outcome a second test under race conditions may
be requested.  Anubis hopes to nominate its driver line-up on 10 September
1996.

Some preference will be given to experienced LF3000/LFRS drivers who include
their driving records but such experience will not, in any way, be
determinative.  Rookies are strongly encouraged to do a test.

This may seem like a very formal process, but in the opinion of Team Anubis,
the LFRS, due to the release of such a lifelike game engine in GP2, is likely
to be extremely competitive with a very high on-line profile.  Team Anubis is
realistic in terms of its goals for its first season back in competition, but
its realism is tempered with a strong desire to keep the Team as near the
front of the field as is possible.
