N2 Replacement Dashboards

How do I install the nifty dashboards that are available for N2? I don't see
a file anywhere to replace so that the dash is installed?  Is there some
sort of file unpacking that has to be done??

Your right on the spot. It's more easy than it sounds.

Papyrus uses a dat file to archive the files.  Just go to any Nascar2
website (Theuspits.com) and download the pack/unpack utilities (around
40kb). For your***pit, do like this :

C:\sierra\nascar2\layout\unpack layout.dat

Now you will see the graphics files.  The***pit (hi-resolution) are 1.pcx
to 9.pcx   Just take the downloaded***pit, and over-write those files. Now
pack it by writing :

pack layout.pck    Remember "pck", not "dat" !!!  I think this should be
all, if there is any other question check out the N2 FAQ here.

Unzip the following file into your nascar2\layout directory and run
the executable. It will replace the stock dash with a much nicer
looking red one.
