If I downloaded a track for a now-defunct site, can I give the download to
someone else as long as i take no payment or no credit for the track design?
Serious question
not looking to make any money or take any undue credit just trying to share
with other racers who did not download in time. Thank you

Well... depending on the track... I would say yes and no, depending on the
game and depending on how you do this.

First of all, presently... SODA Off-road racing tracks are the only legal
tracks if you send them at 100%.

For Nascar2, all tracks that post actual Papyrus code (ex track.dat file) is
illegal.  The SimRacing community doesn't approve illegal tracks.  But if
you want to send someone's track please tell to the creator of the track is
you can send it to somebody.  Just have his approbation.  Only a matter of
ethique and respect to the guy who passed many hours doing the track.  Hope
I cleared (maybe?) your answer.
