I am very interested in the history of auto racing sims.
Currently I race (play) with Nascar 1.21 and Track pack, ICR2, and NFS.
The other day I was in Egghead and saw the original ICR version 1.05 CD
for $29.95. This came in a box like Nascar and included the 8 original
tracks plus 7 more on one CD. What it didn't include was the Indy 500 or
a paintkit. Now, putting aside what is happening with the IRL and CART
now, I would love to find this so I can race at Indy. I have paid for
all my sims and I am willing to pay for this also, but I can't find it
anywhere? The guys at egghead said it wasn't available anymore.
Somewhere else on the net I read that it was discontinued by Papyrus. I
know they have removed references to it from their web page. If anyone
has an idea how I could get my hands on this, please let me know.

Also here are a couple of related questions:

Was the paintkit part of the Indy track pack?
Where can I get some US version car sets for ICR 1?
How about some car setups?

While I'm posting, anyone know where I could get Indy 500 the
simulation, and World Circuit Grand Prix 1. I have not been able to find
these either.

Any help on these matters will be greatly appreciated.

ARRRRRGH! What's this!? I ordered the ICR compilation CD last Friday
from a mail order house and they told me that both addons were included
with it. I specifically asked them if Indianapolis was with it. They
said it was.

Now if what you say about it NOT being included is true, and since I
already own ICR (I only ordered the compilation for the addons!), well,
I'm going to be sending that CD back.

I too am desperately seeking the Indianapolis Motor Speedway addon so if
anyone has it and is willing to part with it, email me at

Hello,
I guess that was the first sim I spent way too much time on!!!...and I
could never keep up with my brother who lived it for weeks for the ideal
setups. I have the original 1989 Indy 500 sim from Papyrus with the
neccessary documentation to find the appropriate code "photo". Is this
what you seek?? Maybe a swap of some sort ?? i.e. have NASCAR but no
add ons. Talk to you later. Alun.

P.S. this track is not an add on to the original ICR 1....it stands
alone.
