While racing at Monza last night, Pat Frayne (Lotus driver) started
turning some unbelievable lap times (124's and 125's)  trying to catch up
with the rest of the pack.  I blew my engine, and started watching the
replay, low and behold, Pat was riding all the rails around the track at
full speed....
Turning a 124.24 on one lap !!!!!   What did he think, others would believe
that something like that is attainable.....
The host had the race in Novice mode.       I would strongly recommend
people not to race in Novice to maybe help put an end to the cheating "Rail
Runners" at Monza.
If you should see Mr. Frayne,  let him know how you feel......

It might not have been "Rail Runner's" fault.
It could be these fast times were caused by
clock smashes....

I myself experienced this yesterday at a
race on Watkings Glen. I took pole with
a 0:12.16!!

No cheating from my site, just caused
by clock smashes and warps.

He said he watched the replay and saw him riding the rails, and for
Frayne its just the way he races. Run Pro Short instead of Novice and
you won't be seeing him..

Ron...

If you search the RAS archives you'll find that, unfortunately, Mr. Frayne
is building a history of these kinds of high jinks.

If you tire of this sort of stuff, give the "Nail That Track" series a try!
We conduct daily races in a controlled, but ultra-competitive environment,
and place a premium on sportsmanship. We welcome responsible, "in-control"
drivers of all skill and experience levels.

Search RAS for thread subjects including "Nail That Track" or "NTT" for
information about registration, upcoming events, communication settings, and
race reports or check out the "News" section of The APEX
(http://gpl.gamestats.com/ ).

Hope to see you at the track!

Geesh!!! 1.24.24 the best he could do? <G>
Frayne is an ill mannered goat. There are about three guys like him
out of hundreds that show up to race at VROC. Most of the drivers are
there to race legitimately and are decent people to boot.

It seems mister Frayne is abit of a pest, I have just finnish an online race at
Zandvoort ,while I was on lap 3 (in 2nd place)a lotus crashed head on with
me,then got back on the track and kept going the wrong way round the track  to
try and crash into everyone, and guess who it was MR FRAYNE.
Patch v1.1 (out soon) will allow the host to kick people out of races(I
believe)so hopfully it will stop these sort of people ruining a great race.

Im really sick of all this crap... its starting to irritate me...
Ron is correct but he neglects to mention a few facts....
1. i had to pole for this race with a straight 1.28.3
no rail rubbing... 2nd was RR with like a 129.7?
so the race was really no contest anyway...
2. due to circumstance beyond my control i was afk for the start
upon returning i started from the pits almost 40 seconds down...
3. even scrubbing 40 seconds down in a 6 lap race
im not going to catch the field... so who cares..

> Turning a 124.24 on one lap !!!!!   What did he think, others would believe
> that something like that is attainable.....

no ron im not stupid.. anyone who has a clue at all knows that you cant run
any faster than a 126 on monza legitly...

someone actually ran there mouth off at me, per your recommendation, in a race
awhile ago at the glen didnt stop me from beating him and winning the race....

hey ron.. at least when you want to flame someone... post all the facts...
not just some of it...
if you have anything else to say feel free to email me,
unlike very sorry i dont hide behind fake names and addresses...

No contest?  I remember winning races with guys that beat me by more
than 3 seconds in qualifying...  Being a great hotlapper doesn't
always mean you're consistent in a race...

So what?  Should I cry?  Damn...

You really don't get it, do you...  Put GPL aside for a while, until
you get a clue about what's fun and what isn't.  Hopefully GPL v1.1
will deal with <snipped> like you.

Whatever...

>Im really sick of all this crap... its starting to irritate me...

Gee.

Well, I remember that we both attended a Watkins Glen race. Since I
had some experience with you, or with someone with your name, I
decided to watch you for a while during qualify.

Well, it wasn't pretty what I saw.

You did leave the pits full speed, spoiling several hotlaps of others.

Didn't give room to others when on a pitout lap. Even knocked other,
slower drivers, of the track on your pitout lap. And after you did,
you blamed those drivers with not so nice words!

You clearly had problems to keep the car straight.

When I said something about it, in the form of advice, you showed some
attitude like: "You don't have to tell me what to do, I know best".

Now you wonder why people don't like your presence in a race? And
still you got that attitude? Sorry, I don't get it.

If he thinks he knows best he should race myself and Remco and a few other
drivers (that I would call fast )
at the Glen then we would see if he new best .
