ot: removing a site as homepage

Guys, not sure how I got this, but now my Explorer is set to automatically
start at a certain website - whatzit dor com for those who are interested).
I try to go back to my old faithful by using the "set homepage as" option,
but every time Explorer load up again back comes the pesky page.
Is there another way to do this? I've had a ferret through the registry and
file search, but can't see anything obvious as to what's doing
it....(windows XP)

Thanks gents

Have you set the homepage in Internet Explorer by going to Tools/Internet
Options/General/Use Current ?  That should do the job, if not there must be
something changing it back to whatzit in the registry.
Sid.

My guess is SPAM ......:-( , a company that would stoop to hijacking
your IE will probably sell your e-mail addy to spammers .... someone
