A couple weeks back I posted a message here enquiring on how I could solve a
problem with a dodgy pedal pot which was not giving me a full acceleration
range.  Within hours I had got a message back from a gentleman in Australia
who offered to airmail me a pot from a set of pedals he no longer used.

Two days ago the piece arrived and once again I am a happy virtual racer.
Just shows that there are some real nice people in the world!

yep, as long as you don't touch the "hot" topics (nascar sucks, where can i
download a warez GPL) it quite friendly....

Of course from time to time you have the traditional bigot fight, but it's
quite funny anyway.

I roam lots of different kinds of newsgroups, and still rate RAS as one of
the most friendly and helpfull groups.
Newbies are welcomed (especially GPL newbies :) and lots of sound advise is
offered.
