Now that I'm finally getting halfway decent at F1RS, I would like to
save some of my better laps.  The trouble is that I can't figure out how
to see, much less save, a replay.

Let me explain that, although I'm in the US, I apparently bought the
British version of the game.  (I just noticed the tech support and
e-mail addresses).  I don't know if the screens differ any from the US
version.

Specifically, I would like to save my better laps from Time Attack mode.
The manual is unclear, at best.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks.

I presume you are talking about ghost mode?

First ensure you have selected ghost mode and *not* free run in the
pre race screen, via the *mode* option. (forgotten what the screen is
actually called?)

Choose your set-up, etc, and start a time attack session.
You have to complete at least one full lap before the game will save
your lap. When you have completed a lap you want to save (gone past
the start/finish line) simply press escape, and choose exit.

The game will save your lap for you. To race against your ghost lap.
go to the pre race screen with the *ghost* option. Click on the ghost
option, and it will show you the fastest times for that particular
circuit, select the time you want race against (it should now be
highlighted) and leave this screen.

When you go back to the track the ghost car should be waiting at the
start/finish line as you approach, and will move off as you pass the
line.

Thanks for that info.  I'll give that a try.

Actually, though, my question was regarding just viewing a replay of
yourself running a solo lap as fast as you can.  (That's what I meant by
Time Attack.)  I would like to study what I did right and what I did
wrong.  Can that be done?

Thanks again.

Erm? well thats *not* what you said? I quote....

"I would like to save my better laps from Time Attack mode"

You *can* save your better laps, and replay them via the ghost mode
option, which is what I have advised you to do.

You *cannot* save a lap, and then view it via various camera options
etc, at will. You can *only* do this in race or championship mode,
via pressing escape while on the track, and then selecting replay.
(Provided you have the replay option enabled in the game
configuration screen?)
