I cannot believe for one second that this hasn't already been mentioned...

I've been eyeing the screenshots and pictures with envy.  I want one! :)

Nice render... too bad it's wasted on some RPG type character.

Imagine if someone used CineFX for cars tho.  You could have a map for
the car surface, one for the primer coat, and one for the actual paint
(dunno what they use, acryllic?).  You could create some incredibly
cool and real looking car and track surfaces if the card can do that
shit in real time, especially if you can modify those maps in real
time without a huge performance hit.

The trouble with every new feature is...
They ALWAYS claim there is NO performance hit..but in the end...every new
gimmick gunks up the fps just like the old gimmicks.

How can you tell what it looks like when you're looking at the screenshots
with an old video card, old MB, not to mention only 4x AGP etc? Am I missing
something? I'm looking forward to the release of this card too, don't get me
wrong. It will mean all the other cards will go down in price. Then I'll get
me a Geforce 4 for cheap!

I've got the game.  It looks that good.

Now if it had stages longer than 5km and an in-car view we'd be on our
merry way. =)

Er, I mean, it's no GPL.  If it's not Papy it's ***[insert 4 linked

And I thought my aluminum-finned, dual-fanned Leadtek GF4 was a hottie.  Oh
well, at least she's loud...

Personally, when I bought my new notebook last January, I was more impressed
that they managed to cram in a 1.2GHz P4 and the equivalent of a GeForce2 in
a 1" thick package with a 1cm fan and run the whole thing off a 300g battery
for 3 hours.  That is also progress :-)

They will no doubt manage to distill the latest GeForce down to a single 2x2
inch daughtercard within a year.  Cool.
