Yup, I just received a LWFF wheel. It's the Taiwan model. Ought to be
interesting comparing it to the Ferrari and Force RS. I've been doing a few
laps in GPL and NFS: PU. My opinion so far, I think the pedals are tweakable
(another how-to article?), I saw a nice red gearshift knob at the store that
I've been wanting to buy (maybe build a stick shifter), and as for the wheel
itself, well...... it's pretty ;)

Each game seems to require different settings for the best FF feel. I didnt like
the NFS:PU feel until someone posted a good setup. I think it was mostly turn
the "engine" FF to 0.
I made my own pedals and replaced the bushings with ball bearings.

Should be quite old stock, if you got a Taiwan wheel.
But it's the better one.

I also have the older model, and a friend of mine bought the new wheel
(which comes with SCGT). The ff of the new wheel is -much- stronger,
but mechanically the wheel was complete crap. Very inaccurate, the
wheel was very wobble, and while driving I sometimes heard parts in
the wheel making funny noises. I told him to change the wheel for
another, I just hope that the all newer wheels are not as bad as his
one...
I tried GPL with his wheel, completely unplayable, I was correcting
the steering constantly. Boy was I glad when I came home and I could
drive with my own wheel again!

Your friend should write to Logitech support and complain.
They keep on ignoring me (after I told them how I find their actual quality of
wheel and support).

See you
