Wheel maintanence.

Hello...

I have a cheap TM Sprint, but since I am a 'weekend gpl warrior' and
am not really that great in the game, I dont really want to buy a new
wheel. My problem is that the wheel jerks at the slightest movement.
It happened after a rather long recess from GPL, and it made the wheel
undrivable.

Now I heard someone mention some sort of a spray that gets rid of
something or other, thus fixing the problem and making the wheel run
smoothly. Would anyone have any more info on that spray? And how I
should apply it to the Sprint in particular? I opened it up once and
all I saw was the end of the steering rod enclosed in a tiny
match-box-sized metal box.

Thanx for any info.
