Well, others may have different opinions, but I have had a Thomas Super
Wheel for over a year now, and it's great.  I won't repeat what I have
previously written about it, because my comments can be found at the TSW
web page. It's at http://zeus.ia.net/~thomas/

Trevor Thomas is a frequent visitor to this Newsgroup, and I know that
he'll help you out with any questions you may have.  Calibrating the TSW
is simple, because the computer sees it as a regular joystick.
Maintenance is no big deal, because everything is accessible, and spare
parts can be found at Radio Shack.  Good Luck!

I'd advise to get Serpent Racing's Virtual R/C 1 (VRC-1).  It plugs easily
into all makes of R/C recievers (ground or air, it doesn't matter,
Airtronics, Futaba, etc.--it has plugs for all of them.)  Simply plug the
VRC-1 into you receiver and use your transitter to control your game.  The
draw back of this is you have no way to shift.  The positive side of it is
if you race R/C cars, you can "stay in form" with stick time during the
rainy, cold winters.  I find it extremely useful.  You can find Serpent's
WWW page link on my home page in the hobby/computer section.

A lot of guys say the Thrustmaster GP wheel is the ticket.  Can't be
very hard to set up (its a wheel only).  Someone mentioned the TSW,
but if you have that kind of bucks you might also want to check the
GP500 (made in the UK I think, don't know the web address), or
the ECCI CDS2 (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/extreme).
