testing an application called HyperTray.
This software runs in the system tray and allows you access the functions of
the Hyper Menu.
Major functions are :-
1. Switch to Single or Dual Joystick mode. This will also configure DirectX
with the correct joystick definition, without the need to go to the Control
Panel.
2. Calibrate and test the HyperStimulator without using Control Panel.
3. Activate a button set.
To take full advantage of the DirectX Dual Joystick functions of the product
you really have to own either a PDPI L4 gamecard or a sound card that has a
digital gameport ie. Diamond MX200,MX300, Xitel Storm, Sonic Storm etc.
Owners of analogue gameports can still use this software but DirectX support
for Dual Joysticks will not be possible. We are currently working on a
hardware upgrade to the HyperStimulator which will make it fully compatible
with Microsofts Analogue Joystick Driver (Win9x, WinNT, Win2000). This
involves an upgrade to the small switchbox under the Hyper Stimulator nose.
An announcement on the Hyper web site will be made when it is available +
software upgrade that incorporates the HyperTray software.
Please let me know if you interested in testing this application. If so,
make sure you let me know of the type of soundcard/gamecard you have.
Regards,
Les Marton.
