I am sure I am about to get it from all angles, but I am really
enjoying the -------------------- get this ------------------  B  R  M

in GPL!

I have been toying with the Lotus and Eagle, as well as that
wonderful sound of the Ferrari ------------- but I have always been a
BRM freak since the early days of the early sixties when Graham Hill
raced them.  I always thought they were absolutely beautiful.  And
that sound!

Anyhoo ------------ I have really been putting time at Kayalami
with the BRM, and have gotten times to 1:29:4 with it, and that is
with a joystick and keyboard.

I think that if someone has this kind of setup, the lack of low-end
torque really tends to even things greatly.  You also have to be
really particular on the suspension camber and tire pressures, and
change the gear ratios to where it is revving much more in the higher
range more of the time, but I truly feel you can get that beast to
where it can really put in a commendable performance.

When the budget allows, I am going to get a wheel, but i have been
driving the soms so long with a keyboard and joystick, I feel
comfortable with it and perhaps the whell combo may not make that much
more difference.

  In closing ----------------

I was under the impression that Brands Hatch was going to be in
the final version.

Oh well ----------------- I am VERY sure there are people as I
write this that are in the process of designing and conjuring up ways
to put additional tracks in this WONDERFUL simulation.

Oh ------- another thing ------------ I am forty six years old
(will turn it on the fif***th of this month) and I get such a kick
out of watching ther replays from the "Nose Cam" angle.   My wife just
looks at me like I am crazy        ---------------------     Yep!
Perhaps!!!!!               :-)

You go Doug! I'm a 44 year old grandfather myself and just havin' the time of
my life with GPL! I've been using the Eagle myself, Gurney was my boyhood hero.

We all think that a real wheel/pedal setup won't make THAT much difference
until . . . . . .  Go and buy a good one right now.
