No more offline leages!

by Doug Gre » Sun, 15 Dec 1996 04:00:00

I have read alot about the no saving option in Nascar2, until today I
just thought oh well. Then it hit me, no save option means no offline
racing!
Does anybody have any ideas here? I know all about thr NRO, hawai,
and dial-up IPX servers, and that all is absolutely fabulous, but how
can we race offline? I personally have always refined my set-ups and
strategys in off line leagues, and these leagues have always given me
a porpose as I logged some seat time.
I hope that there is an easy solution to this dillema. I for one
would pay for an add on program to do something along the lines of
what the IVGA software does. Thier concept was great and the
excecution was too. To bad the IVGA and papy do not seem to get along
to good, because at the beginning of next year we will not even have
the IVGA software any more :( that really sucks.
Am I the only one that the lack of a way to have offline racing
dissapoints? Please respond one way or another.

You're not the only one.  For those who can't afford to upgrade to a
Pentium to get NCR2 to work worth a ***will eventually realize they
are a dying breed.  Fortunately, we at IVL aren't giving up that fast.
We will continue to use NCR1, but hopefully we will weather the storm
and eventually a patch will allow us to save between Qualifying and
Racing.  To me not a major change in the program, but what do I know.
They can leave out the save in the middle of the race.  It isn't
needed.  While we're at it, though, they need to put fix the printouts
too.  Car numbers are all #0s and there is no column for led laps.
