Anyone else agree that this newsgroup has become a bit too large to consume
lately?
How about the following subdivisions:
rec.autos.simulators.indycar
rec.autos.simulators.f1gp
rec.autos.simulators.nascar
rec.autos.simulators.binaries

I guess it must be true. Since you seem to have missed the discussion
going on about this very topic.
However, the last suggestion in your list exists already as:
alt.binaries.simulators.autos

I think it's a great idea, as I'm only interrested in f1gp....
Let me know when this is going to happen

Thomas, I'd REALLY enjoy it if you'd READ THE FREAKING MANUAL. The
"official" RFD proposes a THREE-WAY split (rasn, rasf1, rasi), not
just a NASCAR newsgroup. And yes, you CAN suggest more than one
group. Read a little deeper in the FAQ on news.announce.newgroups.
BTW, suggesting solely a new NASCAR newsgroup is not only not worth
the effort, but also in rather poor taste.

Original thread shortened to save space:
Jeff, I would suggest that you try what I did when I heard of a group
my server wasn't pulling in, that is if you haven't tried it already.
What I did was to send a request to my servers tech department in
email requesting they carry the group. In your case:
alt.binaries.simulators.autos
In about 3-5 days I started being able to access it.
Good luck and hope this helps.

: Again, R.A.S.N is the only proposal made to the powers that be.
: Mindlessly posting about other possibilities such as R.A.S.GP or ICR is

BSSSSSSSSSST!!!!!! Wrong answer. The correct answer is there has been
no "official" CFD, RFD, etc. Until it appears in the
news.announce.newgroups it ain't official. If I read your message
properly, you are actually saying that we can not even discuss a
r.a.s.n. only group. Since it hasn't been officially posted on n.a.n.
This should be a great relief to all of us here. We can now forget the
whole thing and get back to the things that matter (autos.simulators).
;-)
I also thought you agreed that Tony Johns had also made a proposal for a
different re-organizatin of r.a.s. Are you now withdrawing that
statement?

There are also too many of the "Stop the posts about spliting the news groups"
I count about ten of them from you Mike...:-]
Could not agree more!
