So I've been driving GPL casually for a couple of months...got ahold of
a copy of F1RS (Thanks Wayne !) and of course the first track I tried
was Monza. It sure brought home the words in "Four Wheel Drift"
concerning the chicane-ing of F1 tracks. Took me several days to get
used to them...I'm still missing them about half the time.

Also, the physics of GPL continues to blow me away. I've recently
started using "realistic" damage. I banged into a guard rail yesterday
and the car immediately started to pull to that side. For interests
sake, I hit the other side against a guard rail and it straightened
out...until I hit the brakes! YIKES! A spectacular crash as I was pulled
***ly to the left and into a wall. I love this game! (game?)

Started driving the Eagle this week, after spending all my previous time
in a Ferrari (for purely romantic reasons) Wow! I can almost do fast
laps in this car! I think this is the one that will get me up to speed,
or at least something approaching it...so much more controllable.

You'll even bend the suspension driving over the curbing sometimes, then you
have to drive around holding the wheel an bit to one side. Give me more sims
this hard!

Amen, brother!

I have been working hard at the various tracks lately. This after trying for
SO long off-line to do any learning (pretty unsuccessfully, I might add).
Last night was my first full circuit at Mosport. Frustration level through
the roof! (Not quite as high as at Mexico, but up there...)

By the end of the race, I was putting together decent laptimes (I felt) in
my pokey Cooper, hitting the braking zones, leaning hard left on the
roller-coasters, you name it! It was an awesome feeling! GP2 was never this
real to me, and I lived that sim for years! (2+)
