Breakneck in the US? (somewhat long...)

I know Breakneck isn't a "true" sim and people don't like it but I'm really
trying not to troll here....
Is Breakneck (NICE 2) going to be distributed in the US after all?
I found a copy at a computer show for about $30 and snagged it. I was real
disappointed until I remembered something I read here. There's a setting
called "Gravitation" (is that a real word?) that makes the cars have more
weight and be less "bouncy." If you set it as high as you can, which should
be 300, it is much more enjoyable. This game was originally made for a P133
with a 3D card or a 166 without, so on a new computer it is blindingly fast
(even on my P300/Banshee), so I would run it at the highest resolution you
can with all details on.
In the Arcade mode I found out that I could get just about any car and
track. I don't know if after playing a few hours I had unlocked a bunch or
if I found a way to play them all. So I load a "German" track that looks a
lot like Hockenhiem and choose an F1 car. I was chuckling the whole time at
how fast it was and how the cars jump around when they touch wheels. Yes, I
know, the AI is crud, the physics are weird, the scenery is pretty cut and
paste, etc., but I had FUN darn it! More fun than I had with the NFS4 demo
(though I need to try it again now that I have better 3D drivers and DX7).
Anyway, my two cents.

The grafics engine is really good!

The AI seems to run always in arcade mode!
I always ran NICE2 in *sim* mode (*ggg*) and it was quite challenging, when
I accidently ran in arcade, it was unbelievable simple to beat the AI...

I don't believe you'll get more fun out of the NFS4 demo: Steering and
grafics just suck (IMO).

Your PII300 isn't that crap. If u have 128MB and get a new video card or
wait for Voodoo4 it will still be decent. I have a PII300 128 with a 8MB
Voodoo2 and a PIII600 256 with a 32Mb TNT2 Ultra. My PIII is a dew million
times faster but i don't think that my PII is that crap, what is ***is the
Voodoo2 that doesn't let me go to 1024X768.

Actually I put a few extra fans in my case and overclocked my Banshee from
100 to 125mhz. It still isn't a V3 but it's pretty quick. I used Powerstrip.
Unfortunately the PII300 doesn't seem to want to go any faster than 300, oh
well.
