Hi Folks,

I had a trip down to Mondello park on Sunday to see the classic formula 1
cars.  It was a completely awesome experience being so close to those
monsterous machines (we got to walk around the pits!).  I wish I had brought
my minidisc recorder so I could have let you hear the sound of these
things....it makes your stomach jiggle as they rumble past.

Well enough of my ramblings, I hope you enjoy the pictures

All the best,

1972 March or maybe even a 71 model

me again car 55 you mention in
http://www.btinternet.com/~f1pics/f1pics/55_pits_front.jpg is a F5000
of some description. It is not a Lola or a Chevron, i am unable to
place the model but guess the year would be about 71.

The #7 car is a 1971 March 711, nicknamed the "Tea Tray" March for it's
elliptical front wing. Designed by Robin Herd the tea tray is the work of
Frank Costin who also brought us the Vanwall F1s, the Lotus 11 and the
wooden chassis Marcos.
