Analog joys?

by Jean Perraz » Mon, 23 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I just got a new pc with an integrated SB PCI 64V sound card and win98.
I can't use my Thrustmaster T2 wheel with any game (I tried F1RS and
GPL)...
In fact only digital MS Force Feedback seems to work, even MS Sidewinder
3D PRO (which is also digital, I think) doesn't work.
I can calibrate T2,3DPRO anf MS FFP into win98's panel, but in GPL
calibration is VERY erratic.
Hope somebody will help... Thanx

This is odd, one would assume that if you can calibrate the T2 in the
Win98 panel, it should be seen and work smoothly by F1RS and GPL as well.

A few things to check:

Do you still have problems in GPL using "generic" over direct input?
You may want to try both and see what your results are.

Make sure you have "poll with interrupts enabled" unchecked in the
advanced properties of the game controllers applet in Win98.

Check the gameport properties in the Device Manager (via System
Properties).  Make sure that the I/O address is 201-201.
