But don't get me wrong, I am saddened by ANY race driver that gets killed.
We have lost so damn many, Peterson, Donahue, Clark, Senna, etc - but again,
as mentioned when there was an uproar after Donahue died - they loved the
sport, they knew the risks, and they still LOVED what they did. Not many of
us armchair racers can say that. At least I got back into SCCA Solo II
(AutoX), so I still get a taste of the rush, but nobody ever got hurt at one
of these, only their pride or a fender.

Really? You envy someone who meets his demise in such a brutal and savage
manner. At the age of 19, the guy had not even started to live his life.
If I had to go, what better way than doing what I LOVE
I have heard people saying this before. sorry pal if I sound offensive but
it has been a long time since I have heard such a pile of juvenile shit.
Nobody in their right mind want's to die as a consequence of an accident
whether they are doing what they love at the time or not.
Nor did Neil Shanahan. He will never aspire to his potential either now. So
who would you rather be right now. Yourself or him?
now I fix computers. So
will ever know or care :(
So you have no family or loved ones or are you refering to those millions of
adoring women at your feet that all racing driver /rock star wannabees dream
about?
Glad to hear it.
Probably because he hit a marshalls post and killed one. The marshal was
also doing what he loved!
- they loved the
Sure they knew the risks and all played a percentage game to some degree. I
ask you now, how many of them had a genuine deathwish? How many actually had
a desire to die behind the wheel? I'm not convinced that many team managers
would wish to employ someone with such a mind.
Sorry to sound harsh but get real man.
My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the deceased.
