Hello,

I was looking at the Sierra UK GPL site www.sierra-online.co.uk to find the
1.2 patch since the papy site seems down.

This is actually a very very good site. There is two pages that explain why
the physics engine is great and generally more inforamtive than the papy site.

But what really boggled me what at the Key Features page. There is a screen-
shot from the race menu for Monza. And it makes me really sad to know that
this it what it was meant to be. There are weatheroptions (sunny, cloudy and
rain) for each individual day (friday practice, saturday practice and sunday
race). But then look at the trackmap. The Monza track is with the oval. Well,
i've seen this in other track-maps too, but look at the front straight. The
lines are separated. But as long as they didn't use it in 67 it probably
doesn't mean anything.

It still looks like the game was intended to be even better than it already is.

Papy, please make GPL 2.0, with weather, and some bonus tracks (banked oval)
or other seasons. I pay 10 times the price for it :)

These shots do look impressive - there's also a few more teams listed
including some I've never heard of (but still no honda).  Still, I bet
it would have run like a dog with 32 cars as those screen shots suggest.

Those screen shots are over 18 months old!
They were from the developmental period of GPL........nothing more.

The largest number of 3 litre cars in a GP during 1967 was 19....Mexico.
Where on earth they got the idea of 32 cars from I don't know.....unless
they were utilising the Nascar 2 format.

Yeah, as I said, it made me really sad when I saw what it COULD have been :)

Anyway, a bit weird to still have a totally wrong screenshot on a promotion
page.

Old pics. Even the people at Sierra have commented that their webmaster is
a little off the ball when it comes to keeping the sites updated as they
need. For Half-Life some of their people were actually giving out the URL
of a certain fansite than the URL of their own site.

We'd all love it but if its to happen it will more than likely be a GPL2
which I really hope some out, and a series with some other seasons, 70's
80's early 90's?

Anyway, its might not happen but I'd say thats our best bet for weather and
more tracks:-(
