I just finished installing GPL and no changes or tweaking are done to the
simulator . When trying to install the new patch , I allways get this
message saying that GPL.EXE previous version is not a valid one , when in
fact I just finished installing GPL.

I hope someone can help me with this .

Did you have the demo loaded first?  Try deleting, then doing a clean install.

And not to mention it must be an original "real" cd. The patch won't work on
copies.

you need the correctly patch for the country of origin of your GPL CD.

You need to copy the gpl.exe from the cd and paste it in the gpl directory
overwriting the one that is in there
