.25 to 1 MPH at Most Tracks

Drivers:

Well I havent caused any problems lately, by simple
telling the truth, but I will tell you that in all
a SPEED SECRET from my experience of racing NASCAR 1 and 2.
I have always found that thier is a difference in speed
of at least .5 mph between VGA and SVGA mode.  To Many
people think just because someone is .5 mph faster that
he is cheating.  But this is just one example of something
each of you could have done.  We had this problem in
NASCAR 1 back when we raced on the BBS, we no about this
because as reported by several drivers in both FASTLAP
and RACE96 during all of last year.  Now we have been
racing HAWAII for over a year and I bet less than 30
people out of 5000 new that VGA was .5 mph faster
than SVGA.  Why its simple.  The less graphics NASCAR
has to deal with the faster you can go.  Now Im not
talking about the average joe here.  I am talking about
splitting milliseconds in the TOP 50 Drivers at HAWAII..

I havent tested this yet on NASCAR 2, but I dont see
any reason that it would have gotten fixed.

BOTTOM LINE:

Less Graphics, Faster Speed, Better Traction.

Its sort of a new twist on the old traction
        bug.

VGA mode has different advantages depending
on what type of track you are racing.  Some
Times it outright straight-away speed, some
times its traction getting off the corners..

I think the same applies to having a faster computer..

I would agree to some extent. Also I would say that the
players co-ordination is enhanced due to the faster graphics
update. The info they recieve from the graphics would more
fluent, so maybe the players reation time is that much more
co-ordinated.

Ok....hmm, lets take C***te for just an example.  .5mph at
C***te is roughly 8 hundreths of a second.  If you can make two
perfect laps, one in VGA and another in SVGA then compare them, you
might have a valid point.  But I don't think that those '30 people'
can pull two laps down to the microsecond in order to do a scientific
comparison.  Maybe you have some special program to do this, in that
case I may be wrong...but if you have a program to run laps for you...

No Special Program, just 3 years of thousands of laps
