Ooops! Even MORE GPL tracks released

by Magnus » Sun, 19 May 2002 06:27:48

Within minutes of posting my last post on tracks released the last
two-three weeks TWO new tracks surfaced!!! So I felt like reposting
with them added :-D So here goes:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the last two-three weeks all these tracks have been released!!
Quite amazing!!!

Cheers!!

- SabreTeam har released the Silverstone Club Circuit! Very nice short
club version of Silverstone. Track is hosted by Team Friendship.

- Martin Cooper (who's earlier releases are the Japanese track Aida,
Hungaroring, Lausitzring, Misano SantaMonica, Daytona MK, Rock Island
Raceway and the first Legends track) has released two tracks. One real
and one fantasy. Lulsgate is an airfield track from ca 1950 in
England. The other one is a fantasy track named Legends 2. This is a
real drivers track, it's looong and has tons and tons of esses,
sweepers and combinations. Check out the track map!!!!

- MadCowie who now has released 18 tracks(!) has released a really
CRAZY track from Stunt Track Racer - The Hump Back. You HAVE to check
out the screenshots! He's also released Rock Island Raceway from Viper
Racing. Don't miss his autotest track either! It's a slalom, autoX and
driver test track that is VERY
different to what we're used to. All three tracks highlight GPL's
physics modelling very nicely. For example they're perfect for testing
your Force feedback settings.

- And then we have Brent Adams LimeRock of course... It's a MUST!!!
One of the finest addons ever for GPL IMHO :-D

- Mark Beckman has released THREE(!) wet and slippery versions of
tracks, SPA, The mighty Ring and the Riverside 1970. Very well done
with extra wet patches and puddles and everything! A real challenge
:-)

- Van Gossum has released VanRing. A VERY nice looking fast modern
style racetrack. Fun for some fast racing!

- Smogbike has released the longer Watkins Glen -71 with the boot.
Great fun to drive!!!! The boot really makes a big improvement to the
Glen IMO!

--------------------------------------------------------------------
PS: PLEASE KEEP SUBMITTING RATINGS :-D  !!!
It's highly apreciated by many many people in the GPL community!

Ooops! Even MORE GPL tracks released

by DTP » Sun, 19 May 2002 20:32:01

Hey Magnus, thanks for the update. I've been trying to get the Watkin's Glen
'71 version by Smogbike for a few weeks now but haven't had any success. All
I get is a dead link to it. Any ideas as to where there might be a version
available for download? TIA

                                   See ya in the pits,
                                           Dean

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how
long it's been since I've forgotten anything.
